Volume of urban waste in Bali reached an average of 5094 cubic meters (m3) per day. However, not all waste can be handled thoroughly. Therefore, the Environment Agency Head of the Province of Bali, Anak Agung Gde Alit Sastrawan in Denpasar, on Sunday (2 / 5) yesterday asked the public to participate in handling the problem.
“Moreover, Bali has launched the ‘Clean and Green Island’ (Bali Clean and Green). Therefore, the waste problem must be addressed thoroughly,” he said.

Community, he said, should have the awareness and responsibility towards the cleanliness and environmental sustainability. He hopes, people throw garbage on the places that have been provided. This will facilitate cleaning when picking up and transporting it to the place of final disposal (landfill) waste.
